What we collect
Details you give us: your name, email, address, Social Security number or ITIN, and the tax documents you upload, because we need them to prepare and file a return.
Details we read with your permission: transactions from the accounts you connect, read only. Details created as you use Ashford: device and log data, and messages with support.
How we use it
To keep your books, calculate estimates, prepare and file returns, prevent fraud and improve the product. We never sell personal information and never use your financial data for advertising.
Who we share it with
The IRS and state tax agencies when you file; the data-sharing providers that connect your bank; the independent CPAs who review returns; and the vendors that host our systems. Each receives only what it needs, under contract.
How long we keep it
Filed returns and their records for at least three years after filing, as the IRS requires. Everything else is deleted within 30 days of closing your account.

See, correct or export your data from Settings, or ask privacy@ashfordtax.app. California residents have rights under the CCPA, which we honour for every customer.
